Vesak Celebration of Parakrama
To celebrate the birth of prince Siddhartha, enlightenment of Bodhisattva and the demise of Lord Buddha. Many Programs were conducted by the school Buddhist Society under the guidance of the principal & the academic staff.
The main event of the programme was observing sil. All the student from grade 3 to 13 and the staff observed sil. Venerable Maha Sanga were invited to the school to conduct the religious programme of the day.
Parallel to observing sil alms were given to the upasaka & upasika by the parents.at the same time alms for venerable Sanga were prepared by the board of prefects of the school
In addition to that Vesak lantern completion was held attractively in the school premises in order to beautify the school environment. All these activities were done successfully to celebrated vesak festival of Ankumbura Parakrama Central College.
